FUNDRAISING IDEAS for businesses big and small

Have a Wear-White-to-Work-Day on the day of White Balloon Day, Friday September 8th. Decorate your workplace with white bunting, streamers and a donation box (provided in your pack once you register), white balloons (inside only please!). Ask all staff to bring a gold coin (or more) donation on the day.

Are you a boss? If so, show you care about the protection of the children in your community and host a fundraising morning tea or lunch for your employees. Cater the morning tea as a special treat for your staff and ask staff to make a donation, offering to match whatever they raise so as to double your businesses contribution.

Purchase a White Balloon Day merchandise box and sell the fundraising merchandise within your workplace.

Give up coffee for a day. Ask everyone in your organisation to give up just ONE take-away coffee on White Balloon Day, and instead donate the $5 to Bravehearts.

Become a Corporate Partner or Business Sponsor of White Balloon Day There are several different levels of sponsorship available and allows your brand to be aligned with the biggest, longest running, and most respected child protection campaign in Australia. Pledge a fundraising goal and rally your local community to support your efforts.

Hold a bake sale and sell cakes, treats and other goodies with a white and purple theme.

Hold a swap-meet, where members of your organisation, group or club bring in unwanted clothes and other items and buy, swap and sell, with all proceeds going to Bravehearts.

Have a lolly-jar guessing comp with a gold coin entry per guess. Over a few weeks gather people’s guesses in your community, making a record of each one, then on White Balloon Day announce the winner (the person whose guess is the closest to the actual number of lollies in the jar).
