G8 Education’s national network of 500 early learning centres will next week recognise White Balloon Day by hosting a dress-up day.
From firefighters to nurses, tradies to bankers, chefs and educators, on Friday 6 September children attending a G8 childcare centre have been invited to dress up as a professional of their choice in recognition of the important role each professional has to play in keeping children safe.
Gary Carroll G8 Education said G8 Education is committed to ensuring the safety, protection and wellbeing of children by providing a child-friendly environment where all children are respected, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
“Children and families are at the heart of everything we do and our involvement in White Balloon Day is a reminder to us to remain courageous and vigilant in ensuring the safety and protection of the children attending our centres,” Mr Carroll said.
“Due to the size of our network of centres and the breadth of the communities in which we operate, together we are in a position to make a substantial social contribution towards child protection in Australia.
“We want children to enjoy coming to our services and to feel safe and supported in friendly surroundings,” he said.
