HOST AN EVENT FOR WHITE BALLOON DAY

Thank you for making it YOUR JOB to protect Aussie kids by hosting a White Balloon Day event!

If you choose to fundraise at your event (which we hope you will!) the funds you raise will go towards counselling, preventative education and research, as well help fund our essential lobbying and advocacy on behalf of child sexual assault survivors (for more information on how your donation dollars will make a difference, please GO HERE).

Below you will find a step by step guide to planning your event and fundraising activities.

STEP 1: LAND ON AN IDEA

There are many different types of event you could have, from a big fancy lunch or dinner to simply holding a sausage sizzle or morning tea. Whilst it’s important to raise awareness about child protection, it would be wonderful if you could also raise funds at your event that can go towards the prevention of child sexual assault.

STEP 2: SET THE BASIC DETAILS & DOWNLOAD THE FUNDRAISING TOOLKIT

Figure out the basic details of your event, such as the date, time and location. These are the things you will need to know before registering your event online or promoting the event to your friends and contacts.

This is a good time to download our Fundraising Toolkit, which is a really useful and important resource for all our event hosts and fundraisers! This booklet gives you a complete step by step guide to organising your event and fundraising activities, as well as tips and tricks for reaching your fundraising goal.
