Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure is Bravehearts’ acclaimed personal safety education program which visits children aged three to eight at schools, early learning centres and kindergartens across Australia.
Bravehearts is offering this year’s Children Champions- the school, organisation and individual who raises the most funds- the opportunity to bring the Ditto Show to the school of their choice.
The purpose of ‘Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show’ is to teach children personal safety in a non- confrontational, fun and engaging fashion. Bravehearts’ Education Teams deliver the show’s messages into schools and day care centres to provide kids with specialised child sexual assault awareness and education.
The program has so far educated more than 600,000 Aussie kids. Bravehearts aims to continue communicating essential personal safety messages and works tirelessly to reach children across Australia.
This year the program will educate, empower and protect a record number of children with an increasing number of schools and child care centres playing a key role in prevention.
We know that education is key to prevention – and the program effectively teaches kids strategies and skills to stay safe in a variety of situation from bullying to sexual assault.
The beauty of the program is that the rules Ditto, the lion mascot and star of the show, teaches children are incredibly simple and effective, making it easy for parents and carers to reinforce the safety messages at home in a non-confronting way.
The main learning objectives in the show include Ditto’s Three Rules:
